Camfil shortlisted for two prestigious HVAC industry awards

Camfil has been shortlisted for two prestigious industry awards as the Heating & Ventilating News announces the shortlist for the 2011 awards.

The shortlist for Emap’s H&V News Awards 2011 has been unveiled. The awards are on course to provide another memorable evening of celebration for the HVAC sector, having seen a 50 per cent increase in the number of nominations received.   The judging panel members are selected for their long experience in all sectors of the industry, with several serving for many years and others present for each of the 17 years the event has been running.   Their backgrounds vary from a mixture of well-respected HVAC companies to long-serving industry association officers.

Camfil have been shortlisted for 2 awards:

Air Conditioning Product of the Year – For their  HVAC Low Energy Air Filter

Environmental Initiative of the Year - Sponsored by Soler and Palau & EnviroVent for their - CEASE (Camfil Energy Awareness Saves Environment) Campaign

Bill Wilkinson Camfil Managing Director said:

“Camfil’s challenge is to educate Property & Estates Managers and Energy Assessors about the substantial energy saving opportunities (25-50%) that can be made by replacing existing filter assets with low energy air filters. Air Filters consume about 30% of the energy used in such systems. A badly selected filter can cost over £500 per year. The H&V News Awards are the independent stamp of approval for excellence across the HVAC industry”.

Dennis Flower – H&V News Editor said:

"Now in their 17th year, the 2011 awards will be bigger and better than ever. We recognise that the past year has been a challenging time for everyone, so there really is no better way to secure your competitive edge than by winning an H&V News award.  This year, we received a record number of entries and competition was fierce. The judges had a difficult task of deciding the finalists with so many companies submitting exceptional entries”

The H&V News Awards will be held at the Grosvenor House Hotel on 19 April 2011.  The awards ceremony will provide a unique coming together of the industry's who's who for an evening of recognition and celebration.
