Cardinus merge with Active Risk Management

Fleet risk solutions provider Active Risk Management has merged with ergonomics specialist Cardinus and property risk expert Property Risk Management to create a new business capable of delivering risk management solutions across three separate market areas.

Active Risk Management had been a well-known brand in the fleet risk management market for more than decade, with an enviable portfolio of major fleet customers and an outstanding reputation as a white label services specialist for a number of key stakeholders in the fleet arena.

Following the merger, Cardinus Risk Management will now deliver end-to-end risk management services in fleet, office ergonomics, fire and property risk and will benefit from increased investment, especially in online solutions, increased staffing levels and enhanced customer service and support.

The new business will be structured in three separate divisions each with its own divisional managing director - Marcus Noble at Cardinus Fleet; Jon Abbott, at Cardinus Health and Safety; and Jamie Truscott at Cardinus Property.

There will be real synergies within the business, epitomised by common back office platforms, systems and staff plus sales teams capable of selling across all three Cardinus brands.<

Marcus Noble, Managing Director of Cardinus Fleet, said: “While it is still very much business as usual in the fleet market, we are really excited by the possibilities and the new opportunities that exist for the new merged business.

“No other organisation can offer the range and depth of comprehensive solutions to tackle fleet, ergonomics, fire and property risk that we can now offer. We will also have the ability to meet customer requirements across three different areas of risk in one conversation.

“The technological expertise of our colleagues at Cardinus will allow us to develop our online fleet risk and e-training solutions to another level and provide our fleet customers with market-leading products in the key areas of duty of care and the management of fleet risk.

“At Active Risk Management, we had built up a justifiable reputation for producing outstanding fleet risk solutions, including environmental, grey fleet and online driver permit initiatives.

“We fully expect to build on that solid platform and take our fleet solutions business to new heights, providing our fleet customers with outstanding products and gold standard customer service,” he said.

Already, new fleet risk products are in the pipeline, some with an environmental emphasis, to ensure Cardinus Fleet customers stay at the cutting edge of fleet risk solutions development, said Noble.

“We have some great and exciting new solutions in development currently that we know our customers will welcome and appreciate,” he added.

One key area for expansion of the merged business will be the US where Cardinus has a major presence in the ergonomics market from a base in California. Plans are already well advanced to market fleet risk management solutions to American fleet customers and develop a national fleet customer base.

“It is our intention within three years to be the first name on everyone’s lips with regard to managing risk, and feel confident that we have the products and abilities to achieve that,” said Marcus Noble.
