Silverdell supports Hillingdon Homes Fun Day for second year running
Hillingdon Homes is very pro-active in building relationships with residents, the local community and partner supply chain members who help maintain high levels of service delivery all year round.

The Hillingdon Homes Community day is annual event that is sponsored by their partner contractors. Based on a theme of ‘Yesterday…Today….Tomorrow’, nearly 4,000 tenants partied at the Free Fun day extravaganza last weekend. Silverdell UK Limited provided an educational-focused marquee in which resident’s could learn about the issues surrounding asbestos.

Terry Cross, Operations Director, Silverdell UK said “The day was an enormous success, our marquee was a hive of activity throughout the day and we barely had time to take a breath. We even hosted a visit from the local Mayor who took part in our ‘Operation’ game.

He went on to say “As well as providing the residents of Hillingdon with an action packed day absorbed with sun, fun and happiness; it gave us an excellent opportunity to engage the local community on environmental issues and the perils of asbestos with the boroughs’ commitment to safely manage the process behind its removal. It was a great day and we are looking forward to doing it again next year.”

Many other partner organisations also demonstrated their services at the event, including: Hillingdon Community Mediation, the Police, Hillingdon Council departments, London Fire Brigade, Hillingdon Credit Union and local and borough-wide tenants and residents organisations, with all being delighted with the interaction and feedback opportunity they experienced.”
